In the 3 part interview I mentioned in my previous post they talk a LOT about Spirulina, almost as if PATHS will not work unless you take it.
Yesterday I found a great deal on Spirulina in tablet form at 1000mg each tablet. I am going to take 6 a day and see how I go with that. They are like horse tablets LOL!! So as I take each one I say "This goes down with ease" so I am not gagging........
If anybody is in Australia I can point you in the right direction.

Heh heh heh - Barb, when I read "horse tablets" - a picture came into my head of huge tablets in the shape of horse-shoes!!
I couldn't find Spirulina today in the supermarket or in the pharmacy. (There isn't a health shop near where I live), so I got a multi-vitamin/multi-mineral in the meantime, and two tins of sardines (omega 3) and peanuts (protean to break down into amino acids), and I'll search for Spirulina at the health shop in town tomorrow.
I am feeling very drained and fatigued, but then I often do, so that hasn't changed. It's so great to hear about the time-release aspect of PATHS as I'm encouraged that just because I don't feel much today doesn't mean that's it for this week! : )
Love and light xx

Hi Illusions -
Are you in the States? If so, you can find spirulina easily at any GNC. The one closest to me sells a small bottle of 100 capsules (500 mg each) for only $7.95. They also had larger bottles available, but were sold out the last time I went.

ps. oh, and thanks so much for starting this forum :)
hello all, i have just started PATHS on sunday and i chose the phase 1 living sucessfully and i notice a stronger sense of self and have had moments of hightened intuitiveness and things come to me quicker than befor, such as awareness of things i am/may be doing.
The spirulina is sooo necessary, i am taking five 1000mg a day, what Aaron has suggested was to take 4000mg a day and i found that i needed more cuz of the amount of energy it takes to fuel my subconscious. now that i see that people are taking six, ithink that i will try that tomorrow. i take three of them horse pills in the morning, and then the rest (two) about 2-3 in the afternoon, or when i feel myself getting tierd or drained.
what i am experiencing is tierdness. the first couple of days i didn't sleep that great, but now i have been sleeping like a rock, i used to wake up alot at night and i only wake up once when nature calls (thank god the deep sleep doesn't interfere with that). my friend and i are both doing the paths, although he has different moduals then i.
i asked if skeptism interferes with PATHS and i got am email back saying it does....open-mindedness all the way....i think i'm still too exhausted from the first two nights of sleeplessness to notice much yet and look forward to next week, or even the weekend cuz i'm sleeping this weekend....
One thing that has been real neat since i did the theater is that when i was meditating in bed and trying to relax so that i could sleep better (cuz i think the strangeness of trying something new like this was scaring me at first), i was breathing deep and the tension left my body completely and i could feel this warmth coming from with in me....it felt like it was coming from my second shackra and i could feel this intense energy and love and warmth on me and it was like ecstacy...it was amazing.....this may all be cuz i had a reiki treatment to on saturday...chance are it's a bit of both and wow i am loving this all.....must take your spirulina......and totally gonna watch the theater every day cuz if it influences more grrreat......
Lots of light and love....Adrienne
can someone explain the new pricing to me? if you started out with one modual, is there a base price for each new modual or is it if you do more than the original amount of moduals...and i did get in under the new pricing....thanks
Hi Adrienne
Glad to see the good vibes are happening for you! Can't wait to get the warm fuzzy feelings without other substances LOL!!
I can't wait to sleep right through the night either, that will be a real bonus, I find broken sleep is sooo draining.
Ha ha glad you can see the Spirulina are like horse tablets too, wait until Illusions gets hers from the Health Food shop, she will know what we mean!! How many are you taking? Is your friend showing any effects from PATHS yet?
Barb
hey barb, i'm taking 6 1000mg starting tomorrow...but have been taking 5....ya talk about horse pills...geeze...but they are the first horse pills that go down well...must be cuz i amsupposed to be taking them.....i'll take three in the morning and three at about 3 or 4 pm to give me that extra boost through the day......this is all so cool......and my friend, well yes he is experiencing results he's been doing PATHS for about 5 days longer than me and says that it's just easier to be positive, i believe he's also doing the phase1 of succesful living...and honestly those are the ones i'm sticking with cuz if i can know how to do those ....won't the rest come, cuz they are about the LOA and thats how we aquire what we desire...HA, i'm a poet an now i know it....lol.....lots of love and light and keep posting...i'd love to hear about your results to.....thanks...ADRIENNE
Hi Pamela
I'm in the UK. I checked online, and I could order it online, but it would take a couple of days to get to me, so I'm hoping to find it in a health shop today. The pharmacist didn't know what I was talking about (!) she'd never heard of it.
So, hopefully later today I shall take my first horse tablets : )
xxx
Wow Illusions
You are right the UK is way behind the rest of the world as regards Spirulina. I just did an online check at Boots, and even they don't stock them! You may have to get the phone book out and do some phoning around rather than pointlessly running around from place to place.........
Barb
I GOT IT!!! Yay!!
I checked Boots as well Barb, and even one of the health shops I called had never heard of it!
I called Holland & Barrett, and they had them for £7.99 for a small bottle. I was so glad they had it! So I went into town, couldn't find Holland & Barrett, but on my wanderings, came across another health shop, called GNC - who had Spirulina. The small bottle (60 x 500mg tablets) was £5.99.
It was about 5.30pm by the time I got back to the car, and I'd bought a bottle of water so I could take them immediately lol : )
I took 4 x 500mg, and will take 6 tomorrow, and then see how I go and increase or decrease accordingly.
They're not as big as yours, Barb - only 500mg each, so they're smallish round ones, BUT they did remind me of horse tablets for another reason - they taste like I would think lucern would taste lol : ) But I'm so grateful to have them, and am looking forward to reporting back on the results.
Love and light xx
Hi Illusions
So glad you found the Spirulina EVENTUALLY - did you say your tabs were 500mg then you will need to take double the amount we are taking yeah?
Just a thought.............
Barb
I also purchased Spirulina yesterday. I found the smaller, round tablets in a small local organic grocery store. I wasn't expecting them to be green! I don't know why... Is it made from seaweed? For some reason, that's what it reminds me of. I took only two yesterday, so today I awoke and took two more (500mg each) and plan to take more throughout the day.
I also take a whole food/multi-vitamin & mineral supplement that has 1200mg of Spirulina. Do you think I can include that in the total amount that I consume each day or should I be taking the 6000mg of just the pills and not include the spirulina I get from the whole food supplement?
Also, my bottle says to keep it refrigerated. Does anyone else keep theirs in the fridge?
Hi Jamie -
According to my bottle, spirulina is a blue-green microalgae. Mine says to keep in a cool, dry place. I just keep it next to the computer to remind me to take it when I am doing my modules. Otherwise, I would sometimes forget.
Pamela
Hi Jamie
I just keep mine in the kitchen where I can see them to remind myself I need to take them. I am also taking a multivitamin with fish oil. If nothing else my brain will be getting a good feed!!
I did a lot of reading up on Spirulina and it's a very powerful substance, go and do a Google and you will see that it has been used for such things as on the children of Chernobyl helping them to overcome the effects of radiation.
In 1994, a Russian Patent was awarded for spirulina as a medical food to reduce allergic reactions from radiation sickness. 270 Children of Chernobyl consuming 5 grams a day for 45 days (donated by Earthrise Farms), lowered radionucleides by 50%, and normalized allergic sensitivities.
According to my bottle it is the highest known source of protein and vitamin B12 (I don't remember this on the Atkins diet Pamela do you?).
Actually a fews back I had a friend who many years before had had bowel cancer and she used to drink liquid spirulina mixed with fruit juice daily, so I somehow just assumed that it was for people who had been ill........
Barb
Hi everyone!
I'm going to post something I posted in another forum:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spirulina Importance & Other Green Foods
Hi eveyrone,
Spirulina is the key to allowing the brain to have enough very
absorbable aminos in order to create the connections corresponding to
the instructions that the PATHS technology delivers. If not enough
gasoline, the engine won't run right and will just bog down.
It is absolutely CRUCIAL to make sure than anyone starting the modules
are on a minimum of 4 GRAMS of spirulina daily for at least the first
week. After that, they can get a feel if they need more or less. But it
is better they have a little more than they need to PREVENT getting
bogged down and thinking the technology doesn't work. The fact they get
bogged down with not enough shows that the technology not only works,
but has a powerful effect on the brain/mind.
Some people only need about 2-3 grams daily and some need up to 12 grams daily. Everyone is different.
Tablets and capsules are usually 500mg each so 8 per day would be 4
grams daily. Powder, they'll just have to follow the suppliers
instructions on how much is 4 grams.
I recommend taking some 30 minutes before breakfast and also some 30
minutes before lunch and they can also take some 30 minutes before
dinner. The 30 minutes before hand is so the body can fully absorb the
aminos without competing for absorption with food in their stomach. It
is a good idea to take it with at least 8 ounces of water each time.
As a general rule, it is good that they take several 8 oz glasses of water daily because the brain needs a lot of water anyway.
For most people, it is a very healthy thing to fast 3 hours after
dinner before going to bed without snacking. Then the last thing before
brushing the teeth before going to bed and turning out the lights is to
take some spirulina. When the stomach is empty right before bed and
you're not eating any food, take some with 8 oz of water and it is VERY
VERY absorbable. There is a benefit here. The body repairs itself most
in deep DELTA sleep and the brain gets in that state about 4-6 times
throughout the night in every sleep stage that repeats. In that state,
the body can use the spirulina to help build some muscle mass...it
isn't a large volume of protein but because of the absorbability, it is
useful. Also, when sleeping the brain unravels a lot of the daily
activities, etc... and makes use of the PATHS instructions and having
some spirulina before bed on an empty stomach by fasting 3 hours after
dinner can do wonders.
NOTE: Of course if you have blood sugar problems and need some sugar boost,
do what you need for your own body.
This is very recommended especially for anyone on the Take It Off
module for weight loss.
If anyone wants to lose weight, fasting 3 hours
after dinner and taking a dose of spirulina with 8 oz of water as the
last thing before turning out the lights is a booster.
Anyway, never underestimate the power of spirulina in conjunction with
PATHS. Even if someone is health conscious and they think they are
already on a good diet, it is your job to ensure them that they still
need it.

Spirulina Quality
If
you want to look for a good spirulina here in the states at least and
want to know that it is a good quality bottled with good manufacturing
practices, look for the NNFA logo. National Nutritional Foods
Association. They initiated the GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices. Any
company that has NNFA or GMP logo on the bottles means they are holding
up to some very strict guidelines.
I have been in various areas of the supplement business about 10+ years
and the NNFA/GMP is a very respectable and credible endorsement.
NNFA is now known as the Natural Product Association so I don't know if the logo will change.
The purest spirulina you can get will be pure powder. Check your
sources to make sure it was grown in heavy metal free water, tanks,
etc...
Capsules are fine too and will have less "other ingredients"
than tablets. The capsules are usually gelatin or vegetable cellulose
for vegans. I prefer those if I can find them.
If you are using tablets, make sure there are a minimum amount of
ingredients. It is difficult to avoid magnesium stearate that is part
of the tablet making process and some encapsulation processes. But avoid any food colorings, and other
wacky ingredients and if there are ingredients that you can't pronounce,
you probably don't want them.
There are some liquid spirulina products, but I'm not very familiar
with them. I have had Odwalla's Superfood green drink with spirulina in
it. A little spendy but I think it taste good and I felt fine on it.
Probably ok for road trips or something, but very spendy if a daily
thing.

I hope this helps,
Aaron
Hi Barb
I live in Australia, where do you get your Spirulina from? Can't wait to swallow them......
Forever Grateful
Mya
Hi Mya
If you are in Australia there are these new chemists opening up everywhere where they undercut other chemists drastically.
http://www.epharmacy.com.au/AboutUs/StoreLocations.asp
I bought my Spirulina from the Chemist Warehouse in Wollongong for $22.95 for 150 tabs instead of $32.95 RRP, and in all other pharmacies Spirulina was way more expensive. Aaron has asked me to check with the manufacturer if there is any filler such as Magnesium Stearate so will keep you posted when I get an answer from them, but please bear with me as they only say on the bottle 1000mg Spirulina. In the meantime they are called EnerVite Super Spirulina.
Barb
Thanks Barb,
Going to the mainland on Saturday and will check out our chemist warehouse then.
Thanks for the quick response...
Forever Grateful
Really good spirulina is from Sanatur and it is called SpiruComplex. It is 100% organic grown and with zinc, selen, chrom. They are compressed to a "aspirin size" and are easy to swallow. I tablet is 0,4g. http://eng.sanatur.de/index.php
Aaron, you recommended taking a dose of spirulina before bed if you're on the Take it Off module (which I am). How much would you recommend as a bedtime dose? I just started yesterday, and took 2 grams this morning, 1 gram at lunch, and another gram a few minutes ago (because I was feeling really tired).
Thanks!
Suzannah
Hi Suzannah,
Before bed, if someone is taking 6 grams per day, I would take 1/3 right before
bed. It will be different for everyone but I would start with that and adjust from
there. So maybe 2 grams on empty stomach after fasting 3 hours after dinner
directly before bed.
Whatever you take for a day, divide by 3.
Take care,
Aaron
I have a story to tell about taking Spirulina at nite because of being on the Take it Off module.
Aaron said to take a dose of it three hours after your last meal of the day and do not eat anything in between. I eat dinner rather late because I get in from work late. Last nite I ate at 8:30 and did not want to stay up till 11:30 to take Spirulina. I only got 5 and half hours sleep the nite before because I was up late reading a good book.
Anyway, no worries. I brought my Spirulina to my bedside, went to sleep around 9:30 with the intent to wake around 11:30 without an alarm clock. I woke at 11:29, took my Spirulina and water, and was sound asleep again by 11:31. How awesome is that?????
Love and joy,
Pamela
